The Quarterfinals

The top seed, D'Acunto and McGurren, handled Jonson and Luecke 6-4, 6-2 in a businesslike opener. Baum and Moyers, the defending champions looking to repeat, dispatched Ridder and Dolcetti 6-2, 4-4(8-6). Adams and Brown delivered the most dominant performance of the round, blanking Smith and Walsh 6-2, 6-0.

But the match that set the tone for the entire tournament came on Court 2. Dolan and Napolitano found themselves in a war with the fourth-seeded Grills and Rayhill. After splitting the first two sets 6-4, 3-5, it came down to a 10-point super tiebreaker. Dolan and Napolitano survived 10-8. It was a sign of things to come.

The Semifinals

Riding that momentum, the five seed came out firing against the tournament's top-seeded team, taking the first set 6-2. D'Acunto and McGurren punched back to take the second 6-4. For the second straight match, Dolan and Napolitano were headed to a deciding tiebreaker — and for the second straight match, they gutted it out 10-8. On the other side, Baum and Moyers handled Adams and Brown 6-3, 6-4, setting up a finals showdown between the defending champs and the hottest team in the bracket.

The Finals

What followed was one of the greatest matches in WBP history. Neither team could separate. The first set went to a tiebreaker at 5-5, and Dolan and Napolitano edged it 7-5. The second set? Same script — 5-5, tiebreaker, 7-5 Dolan/Napolitano. Two sets, two tiebreakers, same result. The five seed had done the unthinkable, running through the four, the one, and the two seed to claim the 2026 WBP Championship.

The Consolation Bracket

Grills and Rayhill rebounded from their heartbreaking quarterfinal loss, rolling past Jonson and Luecke 6-2, 6-1. Ridder and Dolcetti edged Smith and Walsh in a tight one, 5-5(7-5), 5-2. In the fifth-place match, Grills and Rayhill showed their resilience again — dropping the first set 2-6 before storming back to take the next two 6-2, 7-4.

Awards Night

The hardware matched the drama. Dolan and Napolitano hoisted the Red Hulk championship trophies — fitting for a team that smashed through every obstacle in their path. The Thor Viking hammer made its appearance, and the Best Homie Ever award found a deserving home. The Commish presided over the ceremony as 16 members gathered for a group photo that capped off one of the best nights in WBP history.

By the Numbers

Dolan and Napolitano played three matches, went to a deciding tiebreaker in two of them, and won every single clutch moment. Three of their four tiebreakers were decided by just two points. At 9-to-1 pre-tournament odds, this is the biggest upset run the league has ever seen.
